How to Reboot a Dell Inspiron Laptop

There are several ways to reboot a Dell Inspiron laptop. These ways only come in handy when the regular route to reboot doesn’t work when your computer runs into a problem.

In this article, I will cover every method to reboot your Dell Inspiron laptop. In a situation where your computer fails to reboot, i will show you how to force shut down a Dell laptop so that you can restart it.

Having a Dell Inspiron laptop is the same as having an HP or Acer laptop or any other brand of window’s laptop. These brands have in common one thing: the OS (operating system). This operating system reboot method can be applied to all brands of a windows computer, especially Dell Inspiron laptop.

4 Methods to Reboot A Dell Inspiron Laptop

First Method

  1. Navigate to your Windows logo button and click on it
  2. Select Power
  3. Now click on reboot

You can also reboot your laptop by choosing Shutdown after following the steps above. This time, the only difference is that you will have to turn your Dell Inspiron laptop back on manually when your computer shuts down completely.

Second Method

  1. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Del simultaneously to reveal a full-screen popup
  2. At your bottom right corner, click on the power logo icon
  3. Now choose reboot

Once again, you can reboot your laptop by choosing Shutdown after following the steps above. This time, the only difference is that you will have to turn your Dell Inspiron laptop back on manually when your laptop shuts down completely.

Third Method

  1. On your keyboard, press and hold Ctrl + F4 simultaneously
  2. A popup will display asking you what you want your computer to do
  3. Make sure the option is on reboot
  4. Select ok

There’s also a shutdown option. You can choose that and then reboot your computer after your Dell Inspiron laptop completely shuts down.

Fourth Method

This method should be the last method you should perform when nothing else is working. You don’t always want to use this method repeatedly because it could damage your Dell Inspiron laptop.

To perform this method,

Press and hold your Power Button for 5 to 10 seconds

Immediately, your computer will trip off and sometimes, you might hear a click while it trips off. Now proceed by turning your Dell Inspiron laptop back on.
