Hi, I try to turn on my HP laptop but when I do the fans only run for a second and sound fine but then turn off, and then the caps lock starts to flash slowly and doesn’t stop, I know its not a faulty charger bc its a new one and I tried it on other computer and works fine, it just wont turn on at all (flashing light is white)

    • This is what you should do.

      1. Open the Back of your laptop.
      2. Remove the CMOS battery that looks like a coin.
      3. Disconnect your battery.
      4. Hold down your power button for 40 min.
      5. Reconnect your CMOS battery and battery.
      6. Connect your charger.
      7. Turn on your computer.

    • You may have a display issue. What you should do is to test and see if your display is actually working.
      Connect a HDMI cable from your laptop to your TV and then turn on your laptop. Make sure your tv is set to HDMI…
      Wait for some minutes for your laptop to boot up. If anything displays on your tv and not on your laptop, then it means you need to replace your laptop’s display.
      But, if nothing displays on both your laptop and tv, it means your laptop display may still be working and needs a different type of troubleshooting.

  6. My Laptop is a HP 15-R006np. I’ve tried it all. disconnected CMOS battery, RAM for 10min. Cleaned the RAM pins with a rubber. Caps lock keeps blinking (white) continuously.

    • Turn on your laptop with just your charger. Disconnect the battery, RAM and CMOS battery and then turn on your laptop only with the charger.

      Turn it back off after some seconds and then reinsert everything back and it should be working.

      1. Turn off your computer.
      2. Disconnect the battery, charger and other peripherals.
      3. Open your computer to reveal your motherboard.
      4. Take out the CMOS battery that looks like a coin.
